My 5 Point Something Proposal

As the lady of the house,
many-a-time with myself, I play the game of cat and mouse.

Early in the morning, I have to speak to the maid,
for she doesn’t lift the broom until something’s said.

I have to attend to my office work,
and god knows! each day, a new uncertainty lurks.

I have to care for my family,
with so many things in my mind,
sometimes I get nervous with hands clasped clammily.

After much thought, I presented myself a 5 point something proposal,
in a hope to get some time and peace at my disposal.

My 5 Point Something Proposal

1# Digital Detox

Spend some time off screen,
get away from that buzzing machine.

Go old school,
use candles and wine to set the mood,
sit on the couch by your cozy nook,
and get lost in the welcoming warmth of an old book.

2# Plan and Prioritize

Create a backlog,
put down your pending tasks and assign a slot,
prioritize and realize.

I assure you lassie,
by doing this, life will become a little less messy.

This will help uncover some free time,
use it well to give some some rest to your spine, or
to revive your lost shine.

3# Mollycoddle

Babe, do not ignore yourself in the daily tussle,
take some time out and indulge in mollycoddle.

Follow a healthy routine,
or pay attention to your skin,

What’s best? book yourself a spa or a massage,
and let time lazily elapse.

4# Communicate

It’s always important to communicate,
life get’s easy when you ventilate.

Sometimes it’s comforting to share your inner shear,
or may be shed a tear.

Remember the motto is:
The lighter you feel,
the higher you leap.

5# Say No To Guilt Tripping

When you act on points 1 through 4,
take your time, feel free to explore,
and enjoy what’s in store.

Take that much needed break,
honey trust me! work can wait.

Remember, no guilt tripping,
no feeling sorry and sulking.

Love thyself,
nobody but you can do it, yourself.
