That Walk in the Rain

A memorable walk in the rain

We were there, just there
with our souls bare,

Rain poured,
your eyes lured,

So close yet so far,
I could feel inside me a raging war.

When your hands came around,
my heart leapt out of bound.

I knew i didn’t have the right,
yet i wished if you could hold my hands tight.

There you were smiling,
such beauty! I could feel my emotions piling.

Your breath warmed my cheek,
made my heart flutter and knees go weak.

I felt so alive,
yet so naive,

It was as if i were dreaming,
the world around me all lit up and gleaming.

Meanwhile, the rain chattered,
the moment was all that mattered.
