After the colorful spring comes and warms our heart, it’s the turn of the cold, monochromic winters. The cold season paints Germany in hues of grey and white. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful sight. You know winter in Germany has set in when heavy jackets come out, room heaters start whirring, people start looking for warm drinks, frost deposits overnight and many other such signs that you cannot ignore.

A point worth mentioning, winter in Germany is unpredictable. With temperatures often dropping below zero degrees Celsius, rain, sleet and snow are frequent visitors. You need to go out with jackets that protect you against the cold as well as rain or may be have an umbrella handy. Winters can be really, bitterly cold but, rest assured, Germany will warm you to your toes.
